(02) PROGRAMME DIRECTORS (M/F)

SOS Children’s Villages Organisation established in 1949 is a social development organisation working globally to meet the needs and protect the interests and rights of children who are at risk of losing parental care and children without parental care. SOS Children’s Villages international is the umbrella organisation that provides support and guidance to SOS member associations in over 132 countries worldwide.

As part of its strategic planning, SOS Children’s Villages is in the process of recruiting (02) Research Consultants to conduct a feasibility study work, including assessment of its educational and medical facilities, (01) Research Consultant to assess the foster care and community integrated families situation in Cote d’Ivoire in terms of supporting factors, national circumstances and legislation thereby developing a realistic concept note on the two innovative family based care approaches of SOS Children’s Village Programme, Abobo-Gare and (02) Programme Directors to lead planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the children’s village programmes in Abobo-Gare and Yamoussoukro, in accordance with the organisational standards and strategies.

(02) PROGRAMME DIRECTORS (M/F)

Tasks and responsibilities

·         Ensuring the overall development of the Programme
·         Guiding and supporting programme co-workers
·         Promoting strong and long-term partnerships with local authorities, partner organisations and the community
·         Contributing to the development of the National Association and the SOS Children’s - Village Organisation

Education Requirements :

·         A post-high school diploma/degree (university, higher colleges) in management, human resource management, psycho-social psychology, education, and child/youth care development, community development or social work.
·         An additional post-graduate diploma/degree in one of the above mentioned fields is highly recommended
·         Proficiency in English and French is desired.

Experiences :

·         At least Five years of work experience in leadership, management and child/youth quality care (preferably in relevant NGO settings at local, national or international environment)
·         Strong work experience in child/youth care, education, social work or community development is desired
·         Experience in children’s development work, child’s rights and protection is a strong value-added requirement.
