Monitoring Coordinator for capacity building to implement adolescent reproductive health programme
Full time, based Brong Ahafo and Accra (60/40%)
The Monitoring Coordinator will play a key role in improving the monitoring adolescents use of reproductive health services, and the contribution of the programme to meeting adolescent reproductive health needs. S/he will divide their time between the district and national level, ensuring that an appropriate system is set up for data gathering, and that this information is then effectively channelled into national fora. Responsibilities will include:
• Working with the Programme Coordinator and government counterparts, support the development of the programme M&E framework and programme logframe
• Develop M&E workplan, specifying data sources, method and frequency of data collection
• Monitor the deliverables
• Support the development of systems for monitoring adolescents use of reproductive health services
• Build capacity of government in collection, utilisation and dissemination of data
• Ensure that all monitoring and data collection activities are harmonised, and that data gathered is reported and shared with key stakeholders in a format such that it can effectively feed into policy, service planning and decision making.

Person specification:
• Postgraduate qualification in social science or public health
• Strong skills in gathering and analysing qualitative and quantitative data
• Experience in the design of monitoring and evaluation systems in health
• Some experience in reproductive health
• Skills in building capacity of government and other national partners in M&E
